
Eight initiatives by seven different councils are in the running for two awards in 2025's Positive Ageing and Wellbeing Awards, proudly sponsored by McArthur.
LGPro congratulates this year's finalists across the two award categories.
Outstanding grant-based program or project:
- Kingston City Council - Virtual Reality Headsets for Seniors
- Knox City Council - Keeping it Reel
- Mitchell Shire Council - Impact Seniors Exercise Park
- Whitehorse City Council - Rainbow Seniors Festival / Rainbow Trivia
Outstanding non-grant-based program or project:
- Greater Bendigo City Council - Ageing Well in Greater Bendigo
- Monash City Council - Golden Tales Short Story Competition
- Whitehorse City Council - The Biscuit Tin
- Yarra City Council - Seniors and Sprouts
The Positive Ageing and Wellbeing Awards recognise the individuals and councils behind the capacity building activities that promote health and wellbeing as they strive for an age-friendly society.
The 2025 winners will be revealed at the Specialist Award Ceremony of LGPro's 2025 Annual Conference on Wednesday 4 June at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.
